B.O.S. best the Clams in season opener rematch
Though defeated in the season opener versus the Drunken Clams, the B.O.S. came out strong from the opening faceoff, outhustling the Clams, bombarding the Clams net with shot after shot taking a quick 2-0 lead after only the opening 3 minutes. The Clams would settle down and get their style of game back as the B.O.S. would still hold a 2-goal lead after the first with a 4-2 lead.

The Clams would tighten up in their end for the second, but would still find themselves behind with the B.O.S. leading 6-3 after two periods of play.

The Clams would throw everything they'd have into the third period, with CJ Caputo bringing the Clams within 1 of the B.O.S, with just 33 seconds remaining. With G Nigel Sadal pulled for the extra attacker, despite being shorthanded due to an interference call on Jason Beaule, the Clams would find themselves victims of a B.O.S. empty-net goal to claim a 8-6 victory.

Three Stars:

1) Brendan Bakay - 1G, 2A - rookie blueliner had a great outing, defending the zone and creating offensive chances
2) Chris Marcotte - 1G, 1A - started the late rally towards the end
3) CJ Caputo - 2G - team sniper pulls the Clams within striking distance

Chris Marcotte aggresively jumpstarts the Drunken Clams comeback
Monday night saw the Drunken Clams taking on division newcomer, and former rival the Goldmembers, joining division 4 after claiming the championship for division 5 the previous year.

The Goldmembers would kick things off first with an early goal in the first, as they would carry that 1-0 lead into the second. Attempting to rally up the Clams, alternate team captain Chris Marcotte would try to ignite the team and get them fired up, only to take 2 penalties for his efforts.

The Goldmembers would score an early goal into the second to up their lead by 2, before Jason Beaule would score his first of the season to cut the lead in half, before the Goldmembers would bounce right back to reclaim their 2 goal lead. Chris Marcotte, finally having enough, would make the ultimate sacrifice, taking his third penalty, being forced out of the game, but it would seem to the the turning point in the game as the Clams would fire back scoring 4 unanswered goals in the final 5 minutes to take a 5-3 lead into the third.

The Drunken Clams would keep pressing against the Goldmembers, having broken down the wall in the second, outscoring the Goldmembers 4-2 in the third, including a shorthanded breakaway goal by Jeremy Salomons as the Clams would add the 9-5 victory to their win column.

Three Stars:

1) CJ Caputo - 2G, 1A - anger management has paid off as the sniper avoids retaliating, forcing a 4-minute powerplay, which the Clams would take control of the game.
2) Chris Marcotte - 6 PIM - rally's the team to a big comeback victory making the ultimate sacrifice
3) Jason Beaule - 1G, 1A - scores his first of the year to get the Clams on the scoreboard, plays a big game for the remainder
